Publication setup notice: Bracketed fields require genuine business information before publication. This template should be reviewed for the publisher’s actual practices and applicable law.

1. Who operates Cheezdone

Cheezdone is operated by [REQUIRED: LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], located at [REQUIRED: BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS]. Privacy inquiries may be sent to privacy@cheezdone.com.

2. Information we collect

We may collect information you submit, including an email address, newsletter preferences, contact-form details, and consent choices. We also process limited technical information needed for security, fraud prevention, delivery, and website operation, such as truncated or hashed network identifiers, request time, browser information, and referring or source page.

3. Newsletter subscriptions and double opt-in

New addresses remain pending until the owner uses an expiring confirmation link. We record the consent timestamp, source page, wording version, confirmation timestamp, subscription status, and limited audit information. Pending, unsubscribed, bounced, and complained addresses are excluded from marketing sends.

4. Email delivery providers and Amazon SES

Cheezdone is prepared to use Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) to deliver transactional and marketing email. Amazon may process email addresses, message metadata, and delivery events on our behalf. Our use of SES will be configured only after the sending domain and account are properly verified. We do not claim current SES production approval.

5. Cookies and analytics

[REQUIRED: IDENTIFY ACTUAL ANALYTICS AND COOKIE TOOLS.] Essential storage may be used for security and administrator sessions. Non-essential analytics or advertising tools should not be enabled until accurately listed here and, where required, appropriate consent controls are available.

6. Affiliate tracking

Selected links may contain identifiers that allow a merchant or affiliate network to attribute a qualifying action to Cheezdone. Third-party sites apply their own privacy policies and cookie practices.

7. Service providers and disclosure

We may share the minimum necessary information with vendors that provide hosting, database, security, email delivery, analytics, and customer-support services. We may also disclose information when legally required or needed to protect users and the service. We do not sell subscriber email addresses.

8. Retention

Active subscription records are kept while the subscription remains active. Suppression records for unsubscribed, bounced, or complained addresses may be retained as necessary to honor the request and prevent future sends. Contact messages and security records are retained only as long as reasonably required for their purpose and legal obligations. [REQUIRED: INSERT FINAL RETENTION PERIODS.]

9. Unsubscription

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscription is processed without requiring a login. A person may subscribe again only through a new affirmative action and confirmation.

10. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about use and disclosure. We will verify requests appropriately and respond as required by applicable law. Contact privacy@cheezdone.com.

11. Security and changes

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet system is perfectly secure. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised date and, when appropriate, communicated directly.
